Thanksgiving

Good Morning,

This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it. To God be the Glory!

Thanksgiving is coming up on 11-23-06, and the Lord placed a word in my heart. On this day, at this time, the Lord said, "Give me thanks my children throughout the year, not just on Thanksgiving day."

Churches, open up your doors throughout the year. Feed my hungry children. Feed them with the word and with food. The Lord says, "We get so stuck on the holidays that we forget about spending time with Him." He is our Father right? We worry about spending time with family and friends...but God said, "I'm also your FAMILY. I am the one that gave you the most precious gift of all, my Only Begotten Son, Jesus."

The Lord said, "my children have forgotten me." You should say your grace before each meal throughout the year, not just on Thanksgiving Day. The Lord said, " I Am the one with Mercy and Grace." He said the he is giving us another chance to get it right. The time is right now, at this moment. Come back to the Lord. Spend time with him. Thank Him right now for another day!

Thank Him right now for waking you up in your right mind! Thank Him right now for his precious son, Jesus! Come on, thank Him! Oh Thank you Lord! Oh Thank you Lord! Oh Thank you Lord! Have Thanksgiving in your hearts throughout the year...Thus says the Lord of Lords...I thank you Lord for the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Scriptures on Thanksgiving:

II Corinthians 9:15- Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!

Psalm 95:2 - Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving ; Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms.

Psalm 100:4 - Enter into His gates with Thanksgiving and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.

Philippians 4:6 - Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving , let your request be made known to God.

Today's Final Thought:

The entire liturgical calendar, which varies among the various denominations, with its holy days and season of Christmas, Lent, Easter, represents a sequence of traditions established by the early church as a means of relating faith in God to daily life activities. Many families, communities, and churches, of course, have developed there own traditions over time to commemorate special events, such as anniversaries and birthdays. Scriptures do not speak against such traditions as long as they do not detract in any way from the covenant relationship that the Lord seeks to have with His people.

Tradition provides a reminder to us of who God is and where He is taking us (Luke 22:14-20). When we keep them, we come closer to understanding what God has done for us and desires to do through us (Deut. 27:1-8).
