Introduction:
He came. He saw, but didn't conquer in a way that is comprehensible to men. It was his father's desire to bruise him for the sins of his father's creation. Also, he saw the offspring after the suffering of his soul. Here is a brief account of how he purchased us by shedding his blood. After Jesus was arrested in Gathsemene, he was taken to sanhardin. The sanhardin could only punish him but could not kill him. So, Jesus was taken to Pilate. Pilate didn't find any fault with Jesus after interrogating him. However, the Jews were accusing him of creating commotion in Galilee. When Pilate understood that Jesus was from Galilee, Jesus was sent to Herol. Herod had been nursing grudge against Jesus, because Jesus pronounced him as a fox. Herod kept Jesus for some time, hoping that he could see some miracles of Jesus. Herod asked Jesus to perform some miracle, but Jesus had stopped performing miracles. Herod also could not inflict a death penalty on Jesus. So, Jesus was once again taken to pilate. There was a perfect commotion in Jerusalem, sponsored by the fanatic Jews. In order to preserve his seat, Pilate gave orders for crucifixion.
Terrible Persecution:
Since then, terrible persecution started. Roman beatings were not ordinary ones. Hooks were fixed on whips used for whippings. Bones were torn, iron hooks pierced his flesh. Literally, the back was like a plouging field with the dreadful sight of flesh hanging on his ribs. Even then, whipping was unceasing. The whole place was filled with blood. No food was given, water too. No sleep also. Not only was there physical torment, but there was mental torment as well. There was not rest in his body. In the morning, they kept a heavy cross o his shoulder. There was also a crown of thorns on his head. In the background, there was sarcastic hailing to the "king of Jews". The path that our Lord Jesus walked was spilling with blood. Because of the heaviness of the cross, he fell. Jesus was crushed between the earth and the cross. Moreover, the unscrupulous soldiers were telling him 'arise, arise'. Their hearts were not melted. On the streets of Jerusalem, daughters of Jerusalem were crying. They were the ones who benefitted from Jesus' ministry. He saved their husbands, resurrected the dead, and forgave their sins. Of course, they were the greatful ones. By this time, Lord Jesus had lost all of his beauty. The most handsome man was totally deformed. From his head, blood was flowing, the tears came along as well. Spit could also be seen. Sweat from his joints were flowing. They gave him bitter water too. All of the five waters turned into a new color. When Jesus was born, wise men gave three gifts (i.e., gold, myrrh, frankincense). Now, during the time of his death, the evil people around him gave him three gifts (i.e., crown of thorns, bitter water, spit on face). Now, Jesus was standing between heaven and earth. Even at this time, he still did not stop ministering. He still preached and prayed for those who persecuted him. Now, the sun hides its face. From noon to three o'clock, there was darkness. Sun, the creation, could not see the suffering of its creator.
"Oh Lord, thou created me, I cannot see thy blood thou shed for sinful people. Thou never committed any sin."
The Sun could not see the unjust murder. When the Lord was born, the glory of God was shone. Also, in the midnight, there was a great glory because Jesus was the light of the world. You see, Lord Jesus was born in the midnight and there was a great light. Now, the paradox is taking place because Lord Jesus is dying in the midday as there is no light. The cursed earth bearing all the sins of men too, could not bear that holy blood.
The Unceasing Ministry:
Lord Jesus is not stopping his ministry. Incessantly, he is praying and asking his father to forgive them. Lord Jesus is saying, "Father, father, why has thou forsaken me? I give my spirit unto thee." It was his father's desire to bruise him. Two times, the Lord Jesus calls his father. We can see the anxiety here. Jesus began his ministry with hunger and ended it with thirst. In addition, he accomplished his father's mission.
MOOT QUESTION: DO WE WANT TO CRUCIFY THE LORD BY SINNING AGAIN?
